Links to non HHLC websites
The HHLC website may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the HHLC website. HHLC do not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from the HHLC website. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. The personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by the HHLC Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any organisation before submitting your personal information.
Types of information we collect
This Privacy Policy covers personal information, non-personal data collection and aggregate reporting.
Personal information is information that is associated with your name or personal identity. Except when you submit via email a membership enquiry or request to take part in a particular named event for example, our annual Swimarathon or our annual quiz, HHLC does not collect personal information. HHLC does not disclose personal data to anyone else.
You may request what personal data is held on you by contacting HHLC on enquiries@haywardsheathlionsclub.org.uk. Should we not hear from you following an email notification of a forthcoming event, named or otherwise, then following the completion of said named event, your personal data will be removed from our database.
Non-personal information is data about usage and service operation that is not associated with a specific personal identity. HHLC may collect and analyse non-personal information to evaluate how visitors use the HHLC website. Non-personal data we collect may include the page or pages visited on the HHLC website, unique URLs visited within HHLC website, browser type and IP addresses. Most non-personal data is collected via cookies or other analysis technologies. HHLC web pages may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies for data analysis and personalisation services.
Children’s Privacy
HHLC is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. As a part of a much larger Lions Club International organisation, HHLC supports the Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA), which is an international, non-profit organisation of Internet leaders working to develop a safer Internet. The centrepiece of the organization is the descriptive vocabulary, often referred to as “the ICRA questionnaire”. Content providers check which of the elements in the questionnaire are present or absent from their websites. This then generates a small file containing the labels that is then linked to the content on one or more domains.
To read the HHLC label, enter the URL www.icra.org/sitelabel, enter the web site address www.haywardsheathlionsclub.org.uk and click on TEST.
How we may use your information
Non-personal data is aggregated for reporting about HHLC website usability, performance and effectiveness. It is used to improve the visitor experience, usability and site content.
