Haywards Heath Lions Club – Swimarathon
On Good Friday 29th March 2024, Haywards Heath Lions Club will be holding their annual Swimarathon at The Dolphin Leisure Centre. Swimmers of all ages and abilities are needed to support the event. Teams consist of six swimmers who swim as a relay team for 55 minutes. Some teams are made up of older swimmers taking things at a very leisurely pace, others of swimmers who want to speed along, some are family teams, and some are made up of people who just want to have fun and enjoy the experience. All are very welcome!
This year will be the 38th time the club has staged the event over the past 40 years with 2 years being missed due to Covid.
This year the club has chosen Time4Children to be the main beneficiary. Time 4 Children is a small charity based in Haywards Heath, dedicated to improving the emotional wellbeing of children of Primary School age in Mid Sussex. It provides free one-to-one Emotional Listening Support for Children who find it hard to express their thoughts, feelings, experiences and worries safely. We do this with a team of trained Volunteer Practitioners.
Each team can then choose their own local charity/local good cause to receive the remaining 50% of their sponsorship.
There is no entry fee charged.
Further information and an entry form can be found on our Swimarathon website hhlionsswim.co.uk
